Sunday Report (9.13.09) - Championship Race:
Team Enterprise Automation/Malcolm-Racing earn a podium position by finishing 3rd in Performance Touring (PTD) at the
2009 NASA National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park, in Tooele, UT. Based on the two qualifying races, the team
qualified 4th in class. At the start of the race, driver Derrick Malcolm fell behind an out of class car which took
few laps to get around. This left a gap to the the top three in class. The team was helped out by a full course yellow
which brought the field back together. When green flag racing continued, Malcolm was back within reach of class
competition. After a few more laps, the team passed several out of class and moved into third place with second place
just in front. With two laps to go, Malcolm was right on the bumper of the second place 240sx. This is how it would
finish, with Malcolm unable to make the pass for 2nd. The championship podium consisted of the Team Enterprise
Automation/Malcolm-Racing Nissan Sentra SE-R in 3rd, the Nissan #12 240sx 2nd, and the #55
Mothers/MazdaSpeed Mazda RX8 taking the championship.

Team Enterprise Automation/Malcolm-Racing finished fourth, in class, in qualifying race #2 at the NASA National
Championships. In qualifying, Malcolm turned in a lap of 2:17.1 which qualified the team 3rd in class, a few hundredths
off of 2nd. After a slow start, Malcolm fell back to 4th and was playing catch up for most of the race. The team finished
just off the back, and posted a fast lap of 2:17.7.

between the Team Enterprise Automation/Malcolm-Racing Nissan Sentra SE-R, a pair of Mazda RX8s, and a Nissan 240sx.
